Provider-hosted connection
- Choose +Add connection and select Stripe or PayPal.
- Choose Connect with Stripe or Connect with PayPal.
- Complete the provider-hosted account and authorization steps. For PayPal, review the payment and refund access being granted.
- Return to the portal, use Update status and review the connection’s requirements and methods. Complete any outstanding provider requirements before opening paid registration.
Manual setup when your organization uses it
- Choose Set up Stripe manually or Set up PayPal manually from the provider choice.
- For Stripe, enter Connection name, Publishable key and a Restricted API key from the same account and the mode used by this portal. Follow the permissions listed in the form; do not enter an unrestricted secret key. Choose Verify and save.
- For a manually managed Stripe webhook, use the connection’s Copy URL and Copy events details to configure its endpoint, then Add webhook secret to store the corresponding signing secret. Follow the form’s verification instructions and refresh status.
- For PayPal’s application setup, enter Connection name, Client ID, Client Secret and Merchant ID. Optional account email and application ID belong to that PayPal account. Choose Connect application.
Stored secrets are not shown again. Use the offered replacement action if credentials change; Show/Hide applies to the currently entered PayPal secret. PayPal does not offer manual webhook signing-secret entry. Use Approve PayPal access again if the connection requires renewed approval.
Filter by provider and inspect available methods and webhook status. Remove connection can interrupt events using it; choose Keep connection to cancel removal. Setup errors retain the form for correction.
