1. Open the account avatar, then Account & settings.
  2. When signed in, enter both first and last name, or leave both blank. Enter a valid phone number if you provide one.
  3. Choose Save details and reopen the page to check the saved details.
  4. Review Accurate or Save battery and the location-permission status. Use Open device settings if access is denied.

After a save error, the entered values remain available; correct them or restore the connection and retry. Sign out removes signed-in access from the current view; sign in with the same verified account to restore linked tickets.

See More → About ByteHiker for app and legal information, or the organizer’s About page for event contact information.

For background navigation or recording, allow the location access requested by your phone. Android may ask for notification permission when recording starts; the ongoing notification indicates location use. Camera and microphone access are requested when you capture media, and Photos access when you select or save media. Return to the same activity after changing settings; use Continue activity if it remains active. Force-quitting can interrupt recording; resuming captures new positions and does not fill gaps.

If a Home, ticket, route, map or archive load fails, keep the intended organizer/event selected, restore connectivity and use that view’s Retry or refresh control. A missing route differs from a failed download. Account or ticket access errors may require signing in again with the original account; do not create a replacement purchase or activity just to clear the error.
