Send your current position

  1. Choose Current location and allow location access if prompted.
  2. Wait for the app to obtain a position and prepare its link.
  3. Choose the intended destination in the phone’s share sheet, or dismiss it to avoid distributing the link.

This is a position snapshot, not continuing tracking. If it cannot be prepared, check location services and connectivity and use Try again.

Create and stop live sharing

  1. Choose Live location and set Share for: 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours.
  2. Choose Share live location to open sharing or Copy link to copy the link.
  3. If asked Enable sync for live sharing?, choose Sync online to enable track synchronization, or Cancel to return without enabling it.
  4. Wait for the link, review Active link and its expiry, and choose the intended recipient. Poor connectivity can delay positions; the page may show that status cannot be confirmed.
  5. To withdraw access, reopen Live location and choose Stop sharing. If Stop pending appears, reconnect so the server can confirm; the link may remain accessible until confirmation or expiry.

Dismissing the sheet or a share chooser does not revoke an already created live link. Turning synchronization off does not erase previously uploaded points. Check the sharing status separately from recording status.
